black & white textures.

this image collection is from a friend’s home that was tragically burnt down from a malfunctioning heater; luckily no one was hurt and the house is able to be rebuilt. the saddest part is losing the physical memories, so i captured what was left before construction commenced.

textures from a burnt building are insane; the melting nature of plastic textures, the flame-thrown walls, the charcoaled edges of fabrics, blackened cobwebs. this is real life. obscured objects you won’t even recognise… once a vacuum, now a clump of distorted plastic.

thank you for sharing your home and your memories.
